Why do people who DO smoke think they deserve the SAME rightz to the environment as those who DON'T smoke?!

282>I wish there were MORE anti-smoking lawz! There are a few citiez that have anti-smoking lawz. There are many smokerz who oppose. Non-smokerz have the right to breathe CLEAN SMOKE-FREE air!! Children also deserve that right, it%26#039;z only fair!!

It is a known fact that smoking causes cancer. So many senseless nicotine-abusers say, %26quot;So what, we%26#039;re all gonna die anyway!%26quot;. True. Well, I wanna die when I%26#039;m ready, not prematurely because of some selfish cancer-stick-puffer with a nervous condition!!

Cigarette, cigar and blunt smokerz should smoke INSIDE their carz, on a hot summer%26#039;s day, with ALL the windowz rolled up so they can see how we feel inhaling that God-awful smell of senselessness!!

EVERYONE, pleaze share your viewz...
Reply:You know what? I have no idea why. It seems insane doesnt it?

I agree there are many things on this planet that go into

the air and that we breathe...we also have a right to

be as equally upset about this. I think what bothers me the

most is the ones who do it next to little children or pregnant

women. Can you be anymore disrespectful?

Luckily I live in california. In Davis there are large non-smoking

zones, it is practically impossible to smoke anywhere there.

Inside or outside. I think the only place that is allowed is

their home. Unfortunately Davis is really expensive as well.

And to the man who said people who don%26#039;t smoke are boring.

Give me a break.

Its like those people who say health nuts are psychos.

%26quot;You take care of yourself. you%26#039;re crazy!%26quot; Also death

is not %26quot;predestined%26quot; that is a load of crap. We can all

chose a healthier path. What irks me is smoking that

harms innocent people. For all you respectful smokers

this is not directed at you. But still the world would do

better to get rid of it.

My uncle this weekend had 4 heart attacks. Do you know

why? He has smoked his entire life. My aunt (his wife)

has had cancer twice..gee i wonder why? Do not

feel bad for your view but , remember we all must

rid ourselves of pollutants not just smoke.

Smokers please be respectful smoke at home.

Thanks
Reply:shut up commy
Reply:I am a smoker but I respect non smoker rights. I try not to smoke around people who don%26#039;t like it.
Reply:u cant die when ur ready, i smoke outside, away from ppl and i think ok kool, im doing enough considering i have no real say in all the other bullshit that goes in the air, i think i do my part by not using other chemicals that go into the air by way or hair products, cleaners, and crap like that. im pretty sure u have no control over your life span, its pre destined, and im also pretty sure ur doing something 2 harm ur body and at the moment u r bored so lets ***** about ppl who smoke, ok fine then but i think i reserve the right 2 do what i please and i dont see y its a problem, im not blowing smoke in your face.
Reply:well i agree with you.....im lucky that now in montreal they have anti smoking laws now so when i go to the bar or club i dont have to suffer.....but the cig smoke gives me good memories of the strippers....thanks for the 2 points
Reply:Fortunately, California has a lot of no-smoking ordinances. No smoking is allowed in restaurants or public buildings. Some beaches have non-smoking laws as well.

Not to answer your question: Smokers feel entitled to smoke in the same environment that we non-smokers share because smoking is still legal.

The good news is that there are a lot of considerate smokers who make it a point to try not to allow their smoke to bother others. As long as they are considerate, I respect them and I cannot get mad at them. I am concerned about their long-term health though.
Reply:Smoking is stupid. Why would you even do it? Because you think it%26#039;s cool? Whenever someone smokes around me and my sisters we make overexagerated coughing noises and make sure they get the message.
Reply:I think a private business should have the right to choose whether or not they want an establishment that allows smoking. After all you don%26#039;t have to go there. As for government building yes they should be nonsmoking. If you are outside, well then it doesn%26#039;t matter as it really shouldn%26#039;t bother you. Do you really think smokers don%26#039;t know what inhaling smoke or the smell of smoke is like?

If they are going to completely ban smoking then alchohol should go first, do you know how many deaths that causes? Do you know how many children that kills?
Reply:.we all have equal rights and you will die of stress if you work yourself up like that i am not a smoker but believe in letting people do what they want.are you paying for their habit no
Reply:the world needs someone to hate without being called mean. smokers are an easy target. we can%26#039;t hate someone for race or religion, or we are considered biggots. we can%26#039;t hate drug addicts. we have to have sympathy for them. smokers are easy to hate. they don%26#039;t fight back. nobody can claim you are mean if you hate cigarette smokers.

private business should decide for themselves whether or not to allow smoking. all the restaurants and bars that allow smoking can put a BIG RED SIGN on their front door alerting the public if they allow smoking.

you know what would happen? ALL THE RESTAURANTS AND BARS WOULD ALLOW SMOKING, and the BORING people that are offended by smoking would have no where to go.

I do mean boring. in my 42 years on this planet, i have found that people that have never smoked anything in their life ARE BORING...
Reply:Ho-hum. I guezz becauze you%26#039;re a nonzmoker you%26#039;re better than people who zmoke, eh?

Some nonsmokers are actually better human beings than nonsmokers, just like some non-Christians are better human beings than Christians. As a nonsmoker, you don%26#039;t have the right to complain or have an opinion. You probably have been brainwashed by your parents and teachers and TV ads to not smoke, so smokers are a lot more individualistic than you are. I%26#039;ll give them that much, at least.
Reply:maybe becauss people who smoke think it won%26#039;t harm anybody and they thinks it%26#039;s just a normal aspect of life around us
Reply:everyone has an negative impact on the enviroment self rightous people in denial are at more irritating than people that smoke and know the truth it%26#039;s called facism get over your self you%26#039;re no better than anyone else with 77 million new mouths to feed every year eating their world to death someone has to take responsibility and shorten the life span of people because we are doing more than those that do not it is all opion and everyone has a right to their own thoughts ideals and habits hypocritical complaining is just plain rude
Reply:i agree with you.. some people are polite enough to put it out when you ask them to.
Reply:Finally, someone says it!

I%26#039;ve been thinking about that forever!

And it sucks for people like me, who have asthma. It%26#039;s not fair that we have to get sick because the smokers have to smoke in the air we breathe.

Thank you!
Reply:Ok well tell me then do you drive a car?? I ask because the emissions from vehicles is far worse than that of second hand smoke in passing. Here%26#039;s the way I see it and yes I am a smoker if you want to breathe clean air do it inside. The air outside regardless of if people are smoking there or not is just as unhealthy as sitting in a smoky bar. If you don%26#039;t want to breathe in pollutants then don%26#039;t leave your house and make sure you have adequate filtration systems for your home or you%26#039;re still getting all the pollutants from the outside.
Reply:How about because we are all human? Being on both sides of the fence myself I can understand both smokers and nonsmokers feelings. But I always respected a nonsmoker and

if I were to start smoking again I would exspect the same rights

as anyone else. We are created equal you know.
Reply:Why do non-smokers feel they have the right to determine the rights of others?
