What are some negatives to taking Conjugated Linoleic Acid supplements? (CLA)?

162>I have read a lot of benefits to this...from weightloss to anti-cancer fighting--like lowering risk for colon cancer. Occasionally I get an article with some negatives that contradict what I have read--for example with cholesterol. I read it lowers total cholesterol, then I will find one article that says is lowers HDL--the good cholesterol. Which you don%26#039;t want. Does anyone really know?
Reply:I%26#039;ve never heard anything bad about CLA. I%26#039;ve been taking it for over 3 years with no health issues.

Reply:im not exactally sure what cla is, but it sounds like it has the same benefits of fiber, and as far as i know, fiber doesnt have any negative effects on the average person. maybe it would benefit you more?
Reply:I%26#039;ve been taking it for about a year now and I haven%26#039;t noticed any negative side effects. I do take a number of other supplements as well. Obviously, I%26#039;m also trying my best to keep a good diet and workout program. Last time I checked my body fat percentage was just over 11.
Reply:I take CLA and have found no bad side effects as of yet. I have been taking it daily since June. I have lost 19 lbs since then. I attribute the weitght loss to CLA and excersize combined. Before that I would excersize regularly but I was at a plateau, now I just keep the excersize and take the CLA. I love it.
