145>I hv severe breast tenderness; sometimes disabling. It usually goes away w/my cycles but last month it didn%26#039;t. I have to get a mamogram but am wondering if there is any correlation between problematic severe breast tenderness %26amp; breast cancer? help! Also is there anything I can do, eat, take to minimize the discomfort? Anti-inflammatories do not work for me with this. I have tried them for a long time with zero results only to achieve bad stomach aches.
Reply:Most cancers in the early stages are painless, and it is unlikely that this is bc. If you send me your e-mail, I will dig up a video on inflammatory breast cancer. Again, it is unlikey you have it, but every woman should see this tape just to have as general knowledge. Othewise, google Inflammatory Breast Cancer--this clip might be on there. Sometimes b. c. pills will eliminate the tenderness. And you are correct, anti-inflammatories usually won%26#039;t work, particularly if you don%26#039;t take them a day or two before you know the tenderness will hit. (Ah, and by the way, don%26#039;t ever take those on an empty stomach--- take with lots of butter, cream cheese milk, etc.)
Reply:Could you be preggers?
Reply:I had the same problem. Getting on the pill actually helped me.
Reply:Usually tenderness is linked to the monthly cycles, make sure you are seeing a specialist.
Reply:maybe you should see a doctor
Reply:I agree with April G. My sister just finished 9 months of chemo, surgery and radiation for Inflammatory Breast Cancer. Now I am having a mammogram on the 20th due to signs of it.
Reply:I have very tender breast around my cycles - sometimes worse at one cycle than at others. I have a condition known as Fibrocystic Breast Disease.
