Cannabis and faith?

175>hello to all, please i dont mean to offend any christian here, but, i believe in God, and i belive what he tells us is true and undeniable, and i smoke cannabis because i believe he made the herb with a purpose for our benefit. i respect all his creation, i reject tobacco because they have included chemicals which are not supposed to be there, but as a cannabis researcher, i know its healthy and its anti-cancer, do you consider me as an evil person?
Reply:Not evil. You are being disobedient to God though. He said we are to obey the laws of the government. He also says that we should not harm the body which cannabis does.
Reply:Not evil, dear, just ignorant of many chemical factors which make cannabis even more dangerous than tobacco. I hope you%26#039;re not planning to have kids. What THC does to germ plasm is something that shouldn%26#039;t be mentioned in polite society. Do some more research.
Reply:I believe in cannabis more than bible, cannabis really works... I feel sleepy and lazy now... C u later.
Reply:if you drive stoned or do anything dangerous with it your as evil as boozer doing the same things. if all your doing is crashing on your own in peace not bothering anyone else go to it.
Reply:I mostly agree with you. Most ppl%26#039;s biggest problems with mj is that it is illegal and has been labled a gate way drug. I used to smokes cigs and had a horrible addiction and all the smoke may have caused my cancer. Tobacco also messes with your head a lil more - differently yes, but..

I think alcohol is ok but personally dont like the feel of being drunk. Mj has great med purposes, is very helpful in anxiety disorders and cancer.

Really it comes down to moderation. Anything in moderation is fine. But when it comes to the point that you cant put it down, you have a problem.

It could be considered wrong bc it is illegal in most places in the US. But as far as being evil and some other things ppl say about mj is wrong.
Reply:There is nothing evil about enjoying what God created. The laws of man often go directly against Gods plan. Contrary to what some say about God saying we should obey mans laws. I say rubbish. When mans laws say I should pickup a gun and go kill people that is a direct violation of Gods law and therefore should be rejected. Thou shalt not kill for instance has been so overwhelmingly broken that it is sad beyond measure. Onward Christian Soldiers? Please !!! enough killing in the name of God.

If we really took God seriously we would all practice loving each other. We would examine why we continue to base our cultures on greed and make the needed changes to create a world that works for everyone. God not only created cannabis but other natural mind altering plants like the magic mushrooms which have been used for thousands of years as a means to open ones mind to God. Experiments have been done that compared religious mystical experiences to chemically induced mystical experiences and they are of the same nature.

Religion is so often used as a means to control people we often forget that our relationship to God is of a personal nature and there are many ways of communing with God. No one holds a monopoly on the truth and the truth is often much different than those in power would have you believe. God wants us to question authority and to reject false prophets who appear everywhere in sheeps clothing. Be careful, think for yourself, ask questions and meditate with God as your source.
Reply:You say you research it then you must know the pros and cons. I do not think you are evil or even bad I agree with you as it being a beneficial. The fact that it is against the law makes it a problem though. So keep it as something very personal and do it as safely as possible.

I see alcohol as being worse and tobacco is just plain crazy.
Reply:OMG, God did NOT say obey the laws of the government. He told us to break unjust laws!!!!

The prohibition against cannabis is unjust. An evil person is someone who causes pain and sufferning to others. Are you causing pain and suffering to others? If you are it%26#039;s not because of cannabis.
