Like, I believe if I ever were to become pregnant, I would keep the child. Not because of the killing thing -- because people do die, and that%26#039;s just a fact of nature, of life -- but because I was almost abortioned as a child, because I %26quot;wasn%26#039;t supposed to be here%26quot;. My mother had cervix cancer and was told she couldn%26#039;t become pregnant. On top of that, my mother%26#039;s other five children she birthed were C-Sections, and I was naturally-born.
And she said to me, when she was alive, that she would be unbelievably sad if I never existed because she thought I was a wonderful person.
Whether or not I agree about me being wonderful is at my own discretion, but that point is that she wasn%26#039;t looking at the life/death factor, but the PERSONALITY factor.
By getting an abortion, one could be preventing the existence of someone who would be wonderful.
I don%26#039;t know, that%26#039;s just my take.

What you guys? Pro- or Anti- abortion in terms of yourself and others?
Reply:She would not have been upset to have never known the %26#039;wonderful person%26#039;, as she would have never known the aforementioned person to understand that she was wonderful.
This applies to all fetuses. You would not complain that you had been aborted, as you would have never have a life to understand joy at having been born.
All in all, nothing given, nothing gained, or some twisted version of that.
Reply:Pro-choice for me and for everyone else. You have a good post, but failed to realize what might have happened had your mother been in danger and would have died from having a child.
Reply:u provide a compelling argument
i used to be pro-choice but now im not too sure
Reply:FIVE C-SECTIONSSorry, but no doctor would ever allow that to happen. Me thinks thou speakest untruths!
Reply:for me, i am anti all the way, and if a mate of mine ever aborted a child that was mine i would never talk to her again.
but as a man i feel that i have no right to tell a woman what to do with her body. so it is still her choice. no matter how much i may disagree with it.
Reply:I totally understand you
but I am pro choice
my mother was raped and in a very dangerous situation if she had the child
she had to leave her home with 4 other children , no food , money , clothes , personal belongings etc
she loves children and this was the hardest decision she ever had to make
so I know that in some cases , this is not a quick %26quot; get rid of it %26quot; choice
Reply:Of course there%26#039;s the otherside of the arguement which says an abortion could prevent the next Hitler.
Regardless here%26#039;s how I feel about abortion. I don%26#039;t like it. I would never dare tell someone what to do with their bodies, but I am outraged at the general lack of education. I believe that in making sex this naughty, evil thing we have let children become sexually active without knowing the full consequences. It%26#039;s a shame really.
Education saves lives.
Reply:I%26#039;m pro-choice. I personally wouldn%26#039;t want an abortion unless I was raped. Since that is possible (especially with a series of rapes on girls my age where I live) I want the choice.
Reply:I%26quot;m pro-choice. If a woman isn%26#039;t a complete idiot she would def know she was pregnant within the month or two and get it done if she really could not keep it for obvious reasons.
I%26#039;m against abortions done after a certian time. A woman must be responsible and take charge, if she wants an abortion she has to do it ASAP.
Reply:Me too. I%26#039;m glad I wasn%26#039;t aborted.
Reply:I think your mother was a very wise woman, leaving a legacy in you.
I still like the original and cheap version. Don%26#039;t have sex unless you can accept a new life at the same time.
I%26#039;m pro-life only because of my personal choice. I%26#039;m not going to blow up or threaten an abortionist. I%26#039;d rather take my frustration to the jerk that sells the idea that sex is only sex.
Reply:I had a friend several years back faced with huge decision. She already had three children, and she was pregnant with her fourth. Her husband was her only other family, and he got killed by a drunk driver before she found out she was pregnant. When she did find out, her doctor told her that if she was to continue with the pregnancy, she would face some serious health risks. Without going into too many specifics, her uterus had developed some problems. She was a Catholic, and she absolutely refused to have an abortion, even though she was told that the chances of her delivering the baby and surviving were under 5%. She died during the birth, as did the baby. Now, her other children are in the system. The last I heard, they were split up. If she had not been so blinded by her faith, she would most likely still be alive today, and her kids would still be together. I am pro-choice. There is no pro-abortion, unless you are a sociopath.
Reply:I leave the specific answer up to the woman to whom it was addressed as birth is just a protoplasmic poker hand or roll of the genetic dice. In terms of myself, the issue was never likely to come up as my %26quot;package%26quot; did not include a %26quot;womb with a view%26quot; nor have I ever fathered a child. I did come equipped with decent ego strength, but the %26quot;dealer%26quot; from Heaven%26#039;s Showroom did not offer %26quot;heir conditioning%26quot; or validate my right to condemn others just because they might be more or less fortunate on the highway as I have been. BTW, I also was %26quot;from my mother%26#039;s womb untimely ripped%26quot; as Bill the Bard describes Caesarian sections and it was due to her size, not a planned abortion as myself and brothers all arrived this way full term and it may have added something to our consideration of how difficult pregnancy can be.
Reply:I am very pro-life. abortion is so wrong and unhumane that it is totally disgusting and evil and MURDER!!! there%26#039;s a girl named Gianna Jessen who survived an abortion (Gianna Jessen: aborted and lived to tell about it) is a very good book.
abortionfacts.com is a great website on abortion too
The baby in a uterus is a baby-not just tissue! It has brain activity, a heartbeat, can feel pain (the movie The Silent Scream proved that it%26#039;s an ultrasound of an abortion being done-very powerful) and is a human!
it is murder if you have an abortion.
Reply:first I am very glad that your mom chose life for you. I am adopted and could have been aborted as well, but my birth mom chose life as well. My husband and I adopted our 2 children that are now 15 and 18. If their moms had aborted they would not be here either. By getting an abortion you do not have the chance to be a person at all. I am pro-life and since I am I am against abortion for any reason, why? Because it takes a life.
Reply:I am pro choice. Pro choice does not mean pro abortion. Choosing to use birth control is a choice. Choosing life is a choice, and so is choosing adoption. It%26#039;s not for me to tell another what she should do in a given situation, only to want her to make the best decision she is able to make for her circumstance. I%26#039;m happy for you that it worked out for both you and your mother.
