the campaign which has been braodcatsed since 1997 urges smokers to call a national quitline for more information .Doctor elanie wakefield from the royal adelaide cancer hospital was in charge of the study evaluating the campaign and found it to be both popular and effective more over wen contacted 12 months later 29% of callers had stoped smoking which is good rate. when there were no advertisements on air for quitline the number of callers fell down telling the need to contonuos advertising .
