Is cancer treatment a sin?
Reply:this is going to be a long answer so get your reading glasses:
First I'm going to get crap/thumbs down for this but who cares? I am VERY religious [I'm a Roman Catholic], with my religion, with my love of God I gained a lot of information/wisdom. I beleive that God is a being of understanding, of wisdom and of love, he knows all, understands all and sees all. I will give my life for Him that is how much i love God. that said, God is also a Father, our father and understands our circumstances, circumstances for each and everyone one of us.
that said, one a woman decides to have an abortion, she doesnt put it on a lsit of tihngs to do: do hair[check], do nails [check], get an abortion [check], buy blue dress[check], and go to party [check]. No it doesnt work like that! i beleive that people think deeply and throughoutly before geting an abortion. you see it is so easy for me to say "NO, ABORTION IS MURDER! ABORTION IS WRONG! U R SO GOING TO HELL!", no i'm not, on the contrary i try my best to understand her circumstances. God forgives all sins except the sin of blasphemy and not believing in Him. since he understands our curcumstances and HE will JUDGE us, who are we to judge others?? people who claim that others will go to hell for that have ntohing better to do but to judge. I personally dont tihnk that abortion is muder, it's funny cause some people do not beleive in abortion but beleive in the war in Iraq [ironic isnt it?]
No cancer treatment is not a sin, just like abortion...
For those of you who will give me thumbds down...by all means...go ahead.
Reply:I loved your answer. Report It
Reply:Abortion is murder, there is a heartbeat? I really liked your answer and believe you have many great views. But I believe that none of us can judge unless we have been in that situation ourselves or had someone close to us. good answer and thumbs up and I see others agree with you! Report It
Reply:No, who told you we were?
Reply:Cancer is not a person. Cancer is a disease. Pregnancy is not disease. Unborn children are not a disease.
Joe, are you pro- abortion becasue it means you can screw and knock up women and have no child support to pay if the woman kills the baby? I find it interesting that the group that favors abortion most is men from 18-25.
Reply:apples to oranges, my friend.
Reply:There's always adult stem-cell research -- which has proven to be far more effective than fetal stem-cell research has.
But pro-aborts will push fetal stem-cell research anyway. Not because it has any medical benefits, but because it goes hand in hand with their penchant for having unborn babies killed.
.
Reply:The cancer treatment is a tool used to save lives.
And honestly I don't give a damn about any mans opinion on the issue since a man will NEVER know what it is like to be in the position to even ponder getting an abortion or not.
Reply:Ask Tammy Faye Messner.
Reply:What would make you think that? A sin to cure a disease, wow !!! God gives us knowledge don't forget that.
Reply:How long did it take ya to cook this one up?

Reply:Isn't a sperm cell life too? Oh my God!! Think of the wasted life.
Reply:So...cancer has a heartbeat, and will eventually come OUT and be fully human?
There is no comparison. Don't be silly.
Reply:no, but i do not agree with killing babies who are defenseless.
WHAT IF your mother decided to kill you then what! you would not be here. murder is murder! you are comparing apples to oranges there is plenty of differences then killing a baby and getting rid of cancer
Reply:Cancer treatment? We need a solid method to help CURE cancer!!!!
Still, I've never heard of needing an abortion to help treat cancer.
Reply:no, because if you dont get it you most likely will die. if the mothers life is in danger I say have the abortion. im also against the death penailty, just incasse you wanted to ask
Reply:Cancer= DEATH (Untreated) and is a disease
Embryo/Fetus= LIFE (Untreated)and is a baby.
A HUGE Difference bud.
Reply:Dude, leave the religious people alone.
I'm pro choice, and childish sh*t like this doesn't help our cause any.
Grow up and learn to debate, then pose intelligent questions.
Reply:Adult stem cells work too.
Reply:No, because I know the difference between the cells of an organism and the organism itself. You obviously don't. Try reading a biology textbook: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/bv.fcg...
Reply:Where do you get your "information"?? This question makes ZERO sense. Are you talking about stem cell research??? Because chemo is completely different.
Reply:Well, first explain what disease an unborn baby has and why you shouldn't let it live.
Reply:so babies are like cancer?
the treatment of cancer is the removal of a mutation which will cause death. to equate that on any level with a fetus is poor logic and does not advance your argument at all.
if a pro-life person were against abortion even when carrying the baby to term would possibly (or better, probably) lead to the death of the mother, then you have a parallel case to discuss.
Reply:This is an awesome question. I am pro-choice. I would also like to know if pro lifers are against smoking and drinking because they can kill a life.
I think they would almost have to be. Sometimes a baby can be killing the mother. So in that case it is a disease and would have to be removed.
Reply:Good Point lets see them tap dance around this question
Maybe they can get another one of their "scientists" to prove that cancer although living tissue is the DEVIL
Reply:of course not, it saves a life not takes it away.
Reply:Take one life for another? How does that work out?
Is there any proof that stem cell treatment is the answer?
I mean I know abortion is without question ending a life....
But are stem stells the absolute cure for cancer?
I'm really not eaither way - but your not making a fair analogy.
Reply:Are you really arguing that a baby and a tumor are of equal value?
Reply:I'm Pro-Life. I don't believe in sin however (how could I... I'm an atheist after all).
Treating cancer is not immoral. Independantly, the cancer cannot survive without interference. It is not a separate being, it is a part thereof, and one clearly identifiable as maladaptive (it kills, after all, and thus causes its own death).
Reply:Very good point! A friend of mine had a similar argument once with a friend of hers. My friend is unable to get pregnant so she and her husband are exploring invetro fertilization and her friend told her that she's a staunch Catholic and feels that if people are unable to have children it's because God doesn't think they should have children and they should just take the hint. My friend, after crying for 4 days, called this woman and asked why, if she felt that people should follow God's plans for them, no matter how painful, she had used chemotherapy to fight her mother's cancer in an effort to keep her alive. Surely, that too, is contradictory to God's plan, isn't it?
People will come up with amazing excuses to support their own arguments, no matter how absurd.
Reply:I am pro-choice, but your question lacks logic. You assume that cancer cells and the cells of a potential human being are the same in a strictly biological sense, but you neglect to address what happens to them both as they progress. True, both cancers and embryos begin as bundles of cells that make up living tissue. However, a cancer, no matter how long it is left untreated, will always be a cancer. It doesn't have the potential to become anything else. On the other hand, the cells and tissue that make up a fetus will eventually become a human being. Thus the two are not equal in terms of biologic potential.
Reply:As long as your not killing an unborn human infant to heal yourself with this "treatment"...it would...ummm...NOT be.
Reply:you are going to get a barnyard full of pious answers telling you that a zygote is a baby, and abortion is baby killing.
get out your barf bag!!
